Boradors are a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a Border Collie.

 

They combine the friendly, loyal nature of the Labrador with the intelligence and energy of the Border Collie, making them highly trainable, affectionate and people-focused dogs.

 

Boradors are known for their eagerness to please, strong bond with their families and love of both physical activity and mental stimulation. They thrive in active homes where they are included as part of daily life.

Children friendly

Boradors are generally very good around children and make wonderful family pets. Their loyal and gentle nature, combined with their playful energy, means they enjoy being involved in family life.

Hate to be alone

Boradors thrive on human company. They are people-oriented dogs who form strong bonds with their owners.

Personality

Boradors are intelligent, alert and highly trainable. They love having a job to do and respond exceptionally well to positive, reward-based training.

They are affectionate and loyal dogs who enjoy close contact with their humans and are happiest when they are mentally and physically engaged. Without enough stimulation, they can become bored, so they suit active households best.

Health

Boradors may be susceptible to some of the health conditions found in both Labradors and Border Collies, although crossbreeds can sometimes benefit from greater genetic diversity.

Potential concerns can include hip and elbow dysplasia, eye conditions and epilepsy. Responsible breeding and health-tested parents help reduce these risks.

Feeding

Boradors are active, energetic dogs and require a well-balanced, high-quality diet to support their lifestyle.

Vets recommend feeding a complete, nutritious dog food twice a day, adjusted to suit age, size and activity level.

Grooming

Boradors typically have a short to medium-length coat that sheds year-round, particularly during seasonal changes.

They will benefit from regular brushing to keep their coat healthy and to manage shedding. Routine grooming also helps them get used to being handled from an early age.
